Union List of Artist Names (ULAN)
The ULAN Browser is a database of names and associated information (such as dates, variant names, pseudonyms, and language variants) about artists. "Artists" can include individuals or groups working together and range from painters to ceramicists, and architects to draftsmen. Currently contains some 220,000 names representing about 100,000 individual artists.

Academy Award Winners
Comprehensive information on the Academy Awards since 1927, including nominations and winners. The Awards History section is arranged by decade, then by specific year. The Academy Awards Summaries will lead you to lists of the most Oscars won and most nominated films/people in various categories. A section on the Major Awards Categories allows you to access the winners of best picture, director, actor, actress and supporting actor/actress. Excellent resource for finding when and where films are showing in your neighborhood. Search by zip code or town and have the results arranged by movie title or by theater. Lots of information on each movie is available. When you reach the page for an individual title, click on the title itself and you can find out even more about the movie.
