You will be prompted for your library barcode and PIN. Enter those to continue.
All first-time users of the NetLibrary software must also create a free account above and beyond your library barcode and PIN. You will use this free account to access the software. You cannot use your library barcode and PIN for your free account user ID and password, because the password is required to be longer than four letters or digits. Look for the "Create a Free Account" link in the upper right-hand corner of the NetLibrary home page.
After successfully creating your userID and password, you will be returned to the home page.
Installing the NetLibrary Software
Click on the colorful link, "One-Click Audio Downloads"
Scroll down and click "Install Media Center"
Click Run and Run
NOTE On some computers, at this point, the software must download an updated to the Microsoft .NET framework to version 3.5 SP1 (Web Download).This is a very lengthy process, perhaps 20 minutes long. After that your computer will reboot, and you will need to be patient a bit longer waiting for the software to come back to its installation process.
Follow the prompts in the software loading process until you get to the "Finish"frame.
Note that the software does not automatically launch upon the end of installation. You will need to minimize your browser and look on your desktop for the NetLibrary Media Center shortcut icon. It is a white square with an orange square inside it.
After Software Installation
Once you have installed the NetLibrary Media Center software, you can always start your sessions by clicking on the NetLibrary Media Center icon on your desktop. There is no need to return to the library web page.
